Empowering Educators of Color: FREE Continuing Ed Opportunity from Santa Clara University

November 1, 2018

The Center for Professional Development of Santa Clara University’s School of Education and Counseling Psychology is excited to offer a unique continuing education opportunity for California teachers. We are looking for 15-20 educators who would like to participate in a 3-part learning/discussion series about the real issues that today’s educators of color face.
If you’re an educator who is interested in connection, collaboration and networking, if you’d like to discuss real-world challenges and opportunities that educators of color encounter, if you want to inspire the next generation of educators, or identify solutions that could be used to help with the recruitment and retention of educators of color, then this is the place for you!
What else is in it for you?
   –   Food will be provided
   –   You will earn 7.5 hours of official SCU continuing education credit (0.75 CEUs) at no cost
   –   $75 gift card for teachers who attend all three sessions
If interested, please use the link below and take 5-10 minutes to complete the following application before November 1. If selected, you will be notified on November 12. Please forward this email along to any educators you feel might be interested in participating! If you have any questions, please feel free to email our director, Danielle Slaton.
