This Better Together EdTalk South event is an opportunity for teachers and anyone interested in science education to come together to learn more about the NGSS, California’s new set of expectations for scientific literacy. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a reception during which participants can mingle and enjoy coffee and hearty appetizers. The program, beginning at 6 p.m., includes a keynote presentation by Dr. Geoffrey Lovelace who will share the fascinating research on black holes that he is conducting with CSU Fullerton students and collaborators worldwide. Three local educators will give 15-minute EdTalk presentations about their experiences implementing the new standards. The evening will end with the four speakers sitting on a panel to address questions and respond to comments from the participants. Listen, engage, and network!
(Note: Although Discovery Cube exhibits close at 5 PM, the lobby and theater will be open from 5:30 PM for this special event.)
