SUMMARY:#BetterTogetherCA Twitter Chat - Summit Reflection & Back To School Action Plan
DESCRIPTION:Our first Twitter Chat after the 2017 Better Together: California Teachers Summit will be focused on sharing out reflections\, ideas\, and resources from the summit\, as well as our action plans for implementing our insights in schools starting right away. We're lucky and delighted to have two of our esteemed EdTalk speakers to co-moderate the chat. It should be a fun hour of both reflection and action planning and we hope you will join us!\n\nThis chat will be co-moderated by Edward Gonzalez @eddiesclass and Jocel Ibañez-Lazarito @TeacherJocel\n\n\n\nEdward Gonzalez @EddiesClass is a 7th grade teacher at Emerson Middle School and adjunct lecturer at CSU Bakersfield. He holds a Masters in Education from CSU Fullerton and is finishing up his first year researching issues of educational technology equity in the Doctoral in Educational Leadership Program at CSU Bakersfield.\n\nJocel Ibañez-Lazarito @teacherjocel is an educator specializing in Autism\, behavior management\, and structured teaching. She graduated with honors from St. Mary’s College’s Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership Program\, prior to working as the Program Specialist and the Autism Consultant for the San Mateo County Office of Education. She taught students with special needs for 15 years and was nominated Teacher of the Year in 2010. A resource speaker in special education\, mentor and coach to colleagues and to parents of individuals with disabilities\, and voice to the special needs population on social media\, Jocel is a strong proponent of research-based\, inclusive practices in education.
